PATH OF GOLCONDA
Mit „Return“ kehren die 2001 gegründeten PATH OF GOLCONDA buchstäblich mit einem fulminanten Album zurück: Blutende Ohren und gebrochene Nacken bleiben zurück – und das Gefühl, etwas Grosses, Ergreifendes gehört zu haben. Einordnen lassen sich die Jungs schwer – die Mixtur aus Aggression, Power, Melodie und Gefühl ist einfach zu einzigartig - aber die neü Platte zeigt, dass die Band es einmal mehr geschafft hat, das Maximum aus sich herauszuholen. Zusammen mit Neuzugang Andrew, der seit 2007 an Bord ist, hat man sich auf alte Stärken und neü Ideen konzentriert, und ein mitreissendes Konzeptalbum irgendwo zwischen Märchen und Alptraum geschaffen und nun nach langer Suche in Yonah Records auch endlich das perfekte Label gefunden. Unter Mithilfe von Andy Classen, der inzwischen der Stammproduzent der Band geworden ist, ist so im Frühjahr 2009 eine Platte entstanden, die für viel Aufsehen sorgen wird!
„Return“ literally marks PATH OF GOLCONDA´s fulminant return: bleeding ears and broken necks are what is left – and the belief to have witnessed something great, haunting. It is still difficult to categorize this band; they still mix aggression, power, melodies and emotions too creatively to be regimented, but the new record shows how the band managed to surpass themselves once more. With Andrew, who joined the band in 2007, the band have focused on what they are best at and combined it with a bunch of new stylistic ideas in order to create a conceptual masterpiece somewhere between fairy tale and nightmare. In Yonah Records, the band have finally found the perfect partner. So together with Andy Classen, who has become the producer of choice over time, the band has recorded an album that will definitely cause a noise in the world!
